How do I get paid?
Payment terms for
mystery shopper jobs vary from employer to employer. While some pay by the
hour others pay by the job task. You can earn $10, $20, and even $40 for
doing what you usually do for free! Depending on how much you work, you
could make as much as $2000 a month part-time as a paid shopper. It is
important to note that even mileage is reimbursed on some jobs in addition
to commission and cost of purchases. Most companies will pay you by
check (some by direct deposit).
Since you will be working as an
independent contractor no income taxes will be deducted from your
payments, you are responsible for declaring your income and paying income
taxes (this is a great advantage because you can deduct various expenses

Who can get
mystery
shopper jobs?
Agencies prefer shoppers that are easy going and
good with people. They must not be afraid to ask for services that they
need and are observant of the responses of the employees when they do ask.
Good recall is a plus as well as being detail oriented, punctual and
impartial. You must be at least 16 years of age to become a mystery
shopper.

Hutt, her compensation included reimbursement for dinner for 2 ($36
value), $20 for completing the assignment and gas mileage was reimbursed

service and food quality at the restaurant, the report took her 1 hour to
fill out

recently completed an assignment at Future
Shop, his compensation included reimbursement of $25 worth of merchandise
and $18 for completing the assignment. Mark was asked to fill out a report
on the customer service he received while shopping, it took him 45 minutes
to fill out the report.

recently completed a job assignment online for
Chapters.ca, her compensation included $20 worth of merchandise at no
charge and $15 for completing the assignment. Sylvie was asked to
fill out a survey about the Chapters.ca website which took her 1/2 hour to
complete.
